Hi people! Our field trip to Chinatown and Clarke Quay on 14 Nov, last Friday was really fun and exciting! From the place that is rich in traditional chinese culture in Chinatown to the breath-taking, exotic night life of Clarke Quay, it was truly a very memorable day for our group.

CULTURE AND HERITAGE

Our 1st stop: Outram Park!

Coming out of the station, a scenic view greeted us...immediately we whipped out our handphones and cameras and started snap-shooting away!

One of the many shops which sell really unique antiques. These are very rare in the world and prices don't come cheap!

Then as we reach the heritage centre, we stopped for a group photo. XiaoXuan, the camera woman not in picture. =)

Ox Bone Chopsticks!

The beautiful chinese fans lined up neatly in a row!

And we reach the end of the street...

Chinatown is really a place rich in culture and heritage. As we walked down the buzzing street, we felt a sense of familiarity and belonging there. We were also pleased with the hospitable shop owners who smiled and welcome us into their shops. All of us left Chinatown in satisfaction and with a great deal of knowledge on the Chinese culture.

HERITAGE
And so HERE WE ARE at our next stop:

CLARKE QUAY!

Scenic view of Singapore river from The Central

Our lovely group

Terrence and Huiying around a trishaw. Where's the trishaw rider?

Chinese Restaurants such as Hu Tong can also be found there!

Ice Cream Palours such as this Turkish Ice Cream has stationed themselves there.

High class bar such as this really bring about an exoctic feel in us when we pass by it.

A pub which design its outlook to suits it's theme: 'Clinic'

Clarke Quay is a happening place with a splendid skyline and there, you can see people from all walks of life coming together to 'chill out' in the pubs, clubs and cafes. It is a place with an exciting night-life with restaurants that cater to the different cultures and races. There is a unique feel of Singapore when you're there, a place exhibiting the modernized Singapore. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly as we walked around and explore each and every corner of Clarke Quay! That's all for the day! Hope you have a nice day!
