ARTS, HERITAGE AND CULTUREThe largest "durian"; world's most gigantic ferris wheel; a place where different races come together; first F1 night race; beautiful beaches and lush greenery; food haven: Laksa! Chicken rice! Nasi Lemak!; Char Kway Teow!; Popiah! Roti Prata! Bak Kut Teh! Combine all these together and you'll get ...................................... SINGAPORE!!!!
Walking down the buzzling street of Chinatown, we can see a strong traditional chinese heritage surrounding us. The different shophouses lining neatly side by side selling all sorts of souvenirs and antiques. Turning round the corner, here we are, at Clarke Quay! Screams of excitement coming from the Bungee Jump filled the air and there is an exciting night life waited to be experienced! Moving on, we can see the huge durian-like structure greeting us and gradually, we can feel that Arts is in the air... There it is, the Esplanade! After enjoying the arts and music, our stomach starts to grumble and we head down to Lau Pa Sat, the biggest and oldest hawker centre in the heartland. We can find different cusines from all cultures and races. Singapore just never fails to surprise us with its colourful culture, arts and heritage.
In this blog, we will bring you on a journey along the streets of Singapore, understanding different cultures and exploring the uniqueness of this beautiful small island city! Regardless of who you are, where u come from, may you be a tourist or a Singaporean, we hope that you will be able to see Singapore in a different perspective! Come and join us in this exciting journey of all times!
